Police in Nakuru are seeking to detain Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi for another 14 days as the state undertakes investigations into his alleged offensive conduct, resisting of arrest among other charges the state has levelled against him.
Hon. Sudi handed himself in at the Langas Police Station in Eldoret this past Sunday, in the company of a battery of lawyers.
This followed nearly two days of spirited a police munhunt for him including a night vigil that saw contingents of police officers pitch camp at the legislator’s Kapseret home where confrontations ensued with local youths bent on foiling the arrest.
The second term legislator faces charges of hate speech, incitement , resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer among others.
Police are seeking to detain the legislator for 14 more days.
